About the opportunity
Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs computerized tomography (CT) imaging procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional customer service. May also perform general diagnostic radiology examinations and assist with specialized imaging procedures as needed.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare patients for CT examinations by explaining procedures, reviewing clinical history, and verifying imaging protocols.

Perform CT scans using appropriate equipment settings to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

Administer intravenous contrast media, including use of power injectors, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.

Assist radiologists with complex and sterile procedures, including biopsies, when required.

Adhere to radiation safety principles (ALARA) and infection prevention standards.

Ensure accurate image management in PACS and complete study documentation in the Radiology Information System (RIS) and medical record.

Maintain procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies to support efficient patient care.

Qualifications
Required
-
High School Diploma or GED.

Current BLS certification.

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with advanced certification in Computed Tomography (CT), or CT registry-eligible.

Working Conditions
Position may be based in a hospital or ambulatory/mobile imaging setting. Exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and infectious diseases is possible with appropriate safety precautions. Position may require assisting with patient transfers and moving equipment.
